Armin Bernard Rattermann
Armin's history has been clarified by his great-grand daughter,
Marsha Rattermann. Armin, also called 'Armon', from unknown origins, was noted for his work with leather. In 1870 he was listed as a 'Wholesale Leather Dealer', later, in 1894, as 'A.B.', was listed as 'Leather and Shoe Goods'. Somewhere along the way the Company title became 'A. B. Rattermann and Sons'.
We had suspicioned that Armin was the younger brother of the famous 'H. A.' but lacked proof. Marsha's  archives showed this to be true.
